Too long too long!

Finding time to write a blog when you have an 18 month old is sometimes almost impossible, which can go some way to explaning the month-long silence in this space :(

Still, I have managed to continue browsing, not all work and no play! :)

And I found this wonderful collection of historical shoes, posted by Northampton Museum in recent weeks on Flickr. I LOVE the gold shoe-boots! Possibly from the 1920s?
And the Turkish stilts are simply amazing, much earlier. Gives platforms a whole new edge eh? Hee hee!
Enjoy!

Sparkly Cobwebs for Halloween

Nearly finished these sparkly cobwebs. Some are 3-D and raised and made out of a mould in fine silver (999), others I'm hand-piercing out of sheet sterling silver (925).

I just love the design and had to make it in two different ways! Some will be earrings, some will be necklaces. The earrings sit on the ear beautifully, and almost look like a little fan.

Coming soon to my Etsy shop, hopefully in time for Halloween.

I love that time of year when it's starting to get much colder and the nights are drawing in. Last year we saw quite a few pumpkins that had been hand-carved with real candles inside, sitting on people's doorsteps! I'm so looking forward to it this year again!

A fine evening to you all. I'm turning in for the day.
